The London Encylopaedia
The Rolls Liberty was that in which the Rolls Chapel was situated, and consisted of that part of the chancery Lane area which is now in the City of Westminster.
The 1881 census has been thoroughly searched. I have tried every single variation of his name to find him.A likely death match lies with Frederick Dyer, Cab Driver, aged 54 years, (born 1831), who dies of a Hernia at 22 Park Street, Marylebone in November 1885. The death certificate shows he left a widow (A. Dyer). Fred's wife Anne died in 1876, so it is quite possible that he remarried. With regard to the fact he was a cab driver, the printing work may have dried up so he changed his occupation. 22 Park Street checked on the 1881 census.

Notes for CORNELIUS JOHN DYER:
I thought it too much of a coincidence that there were two Cornelius Dyers, about the same age, born in the Strand, Westminster. So, checked the I.G.I. and found this Cornelius, son of John. Then checked for further children of Cornelius & Hannah Parker. Up came John. The two Cornelius Dyers were cousins.I can't find Cornelius on either the 1891 or 1901 census. Need to check BMD indexes for his death between 1881-1891.
