2. Cornelius DYER

Cornelius was 74 years of age at the time of his death.

Lighterman - A Lighterman was the Operator of a small cargo vessell (i.e. a water boatman). Sometimes used to describe a lamp lighter.

Waterman - Boat or Barge Worker. He is identified as a Waterman on various occasions, so he definately worked on the river prior to becoming a Porter.

Minworth is just north east of Birmingham.
